The Will of God

I haven’t posted anything recently.  Like I said in my first post, I don’t know where this blog will go (if it goes anywhere at all) and that we’ll have to see what God’s will is.  Now, one could say that because I haven’t been able to post, it is not God’s will for me to be blogging at this time.  But my friend Trey Edwards has frequently told me whenever I talk about a difficult task that the task is a “Hard Thing”, meaning a challenge (most of my readers will know what I’m talking about when I say “Hard Thing”, but for those who do not, go to TheRebelution.com)  So my question for you is this: How can we tell when a difficulty is a challenge, or when it is God telling us that something is not his will?

  1. I will repeat what I IMed you. I think the best thing is to pray, and talk to Godly counsel. I am doing that right now with this film making project on the rebelution. They asked me to join a board of directors and producers. Very exciting, but I have to check some things out first.

  2. Interesting that you posted this. Right now my mom and dad are looking to buy a house. They found one that is really nice and exactly what we are looking for. However there have been extreme problems in buying it. The guy who does the mortgage isn’t doing his job right and a bunch of other things are slowing the deal way down. The other day however mom and dad realized that the reason why it was going so badly was because it wasn’t God’s will. Buying the house would place us in debt (we’ve been debt free for over 9 years now). What does the bible say about going surety? Now that they have realized that going back into debt is wrong they’ve been looking for alternatives and the doors are opening up for the house without placing us in debt.

I think the number one thing to do is read the bible and see if what you are doing lines up with God’s word.

RYC: Yeah, the new version of WP has some CSS/PHP errors that won’t be fixed until the next version comes out. It really does a number on my posts and template. :S

Thanks for letting me know though!

  3. RYC: I know, I hold the same opinion. How would you feel if Obama wins by a small margin? Your vote/voting could have pushed things in McCain’s favor.

I’ll be posting about voting soon.

Yeah, the Saddleback Church debate was really good. I though it made Obama look really bad. Lol.

I got the facts from “On the Issues.” Can’t remember the URL at the moment, just google that.

  4. I wish I could say that my latest post would mark more frequent ones but I doubt I will be getting anything else up until after Christmas. I don’t think I will be posting regular until 2009. :(

But man, you’ve got to post! August 14th is really a long time to not have updated your blog ;)

    Merry Christmas, God Bless,
    Eric
